I have an issue where when I set up an NFS mount of a remote servers directory on my client after the a period of time for some reason this mount point disappears or unmounts. Could anyone enlighten me on why this occurs? Do I need to set up autofs to handle the mount point?
Is there some timeout mechanism on the remote server hosting the nfs directory which kills the connection?
Thanks for any help in advance!!
