Date Conversion Problem in OBIEE11g

Hi
I have text format date (26-MAR-1999) . When I am converting the to Date format using the CAST function I am getting below Error.
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 59140] The evaluation of the index 1 expression on row count -1 failed. [nQSError: 46047] Datetime value 26-MAR-1999 from 26-MAR-1999 does not match the specified format. (HY000)

Data Base : Essbase 11.1.2
OBIEE11g(11.1.1.6)

Could you please help me.

    You can access the docs via Oracle MOS website -- https://support.oracle.com

    You need to have a valid username/password and CSI number to access MOS website. Posting the contents of MOS docs violates Oracle support agreement policy.
