Hello, I'm running Oracle Enterprise Linux (Oracle Linux Server 6.3) and I've finished installed oracle successfully.
Quick background explanation : I was installing it with VMWARE 8 on windows 7 and I've been able to access DBCA or NETCA successfully. But after I upgraded it to Windows 8 and upgrading my VMWARE into version 9 now when I'm trying to run DBCA or NETCA it says something like this :
An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x9f90a762, pid=4043, tid=3078104768
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_17-b02 mixed mode)
# Problematic frame:

Based on your description the problem seems to be caused by the VMware or host system upgrade, in which case there is no reason to look into Oracle Linux. Perhaps the upgrade of VMware or OS changed some virtual machine settings, e.g. RAM, or your host OS does no longer have enough resources like RAM or disk space available to support the Linux guest OS.
Perhaps the hs_err_pid4043.log will provide some clues.
