You want to have a Report Region for employees. Whenever, you click on the employee_id, you want to see some details relate to that employee in another Report Region. Is that what you want ?? If yes, give me a few days, I am going to prepare an example for it .... Unless someone on the Forum answers your question soon.
If you create an example on apex.oracle.com, it will be easier. However, I am going to answer based on what I got:
You Create a DA (Dynamic Action):
Event: change value of your select list item
Action: refresh your Report Region.
In your report region. in Page Items to Submit, Add the names of your select value items.
And as you know the report source should be something similar to this:
Please note that the Event of your DA could be a button click instead of refreshing the report region whenever you change the value of the select list.
Select ...., vendor_id , my_date ,.... from My_table where vendor_id = :P1_SELECT_VALUE1 and my_date = :P1_SELECT_VALUE2
