Pl post OS details. If Unix, there are two ways -
1. Use the cp (copy) command with the the -pr flags - "cp -pr /u01/test/* /u02" - run this command as root.
2. Use the tar command to create a compressed backup image - Re: EBS Suite Backup Question

I have oracle ebs 12.1.3 and all the database and application is in /u01/test directory both application and database. I will shutdown the instance and my question is,
How can I take a full backup of this directory on same server in another mount point say /u02 by preserving the permissions.
