Switch Theme in 4.2 - Does it Work???

We are unable to switch themes (at all) in 4.2.

We export the Theme from APEX installation/application A.
We import the Theme into APEX installation/application B.

No errors at all. The new theme is shown normally under Shared Components/Themes.

However, when we click the Switch Theme button, the "Switch to Theme" drop down LOV is just not populated.

We really need to be able to swicth to our common theme. This contains all our standard look and feel stuff as well as our JS libs.

Any ideas?

This behavior happens even using built-in themes.

Create theme from repository. Choose Uniframe - 23. Theme appears. Try to change and the drop down is just not populated.

Even if you make the theme a Workspace Theme, it doesn't work.

You can't even create an application from scratch and select the them that was made a Workspace theme. There appears to be absolutely no way around this.

We are having to import entire applications and then, one by one, delete out all of the pages just to get something with our default theme.

Has no one else reported this?

Apparently not. Maybe +{thread:id=2435079}+, but it's difficult to tell what he's reporting..."all pages are softly said strange"???
We export the Theme from APEX installation/application A.
We import the Theme into APEX installation/application B.
Are these different installations? Are they running the same version of APEX? Are they clean installs or upgrades? If upgrades, from what versions?

Can you import and switch on apex.oracle.com?

    They are clean installs.

    We exported everything.

We completely uninstalled 4.1 even to the point of dropping the users and tablespaces.

We recreated the tablespaces and did a new install of 4.2.

We imported our apps. All works fine with these inclduing using our "corporate" theme.

We then created a new app. We exported the theme from one of the imported apps and imported it into the new application. So far, so good. No errors.

We then try to change theme and...no worky. APEX simply won't let me choose the new template for the destination. The LOV is blank. As I said, this is also the case for built-in themes as well.

BTW, "all pages are softly said strange" sounds poetical. I enjoy chanting it but, alas, the post is not terribly helpful :-(

    And on apex.oracle.com?

    Yes. Sonorous, but inscrutable.

Looks like this is one for the APEX team. Raise an SR with Oracle support if you can.

Working fine on apex.oracle.com. Of course.

    Will open an SR.
