    Forms11gR2 + Weblogic + coherence ??

    JeanYves Bernier
      Hi all,
I'am installing forms 11gr2 11.1.2, in a developement way on windows.

The question is regarding the pre-requisite Weblogic Server install.

what are the minimum components i have to install to be the more light as possible?

Especially, I'm wondering if I have to install coherence ? (I don't exactly know what does this product)

      Thanks for your explanations

      Regards
      Jean-Yves

See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e14142/prepare.htm#i1168506. Coherence is optional, so you may omit it while installing Deevlopment.

As you must have already notice , when you choose the Development option the OHS and EM components are omitted from the OFM installation.

          Cheers,

            Hi Prabodh

            Thanks for your answer.

I performed a minimal install in a vitual box machine.

Durind the weblogic part of the installation, I only choose these 3 components :

            - Core Application Server
            - Administration Console
            - Configuration Wizard and Upgrade Framework

            and leave all other components.

Then install Forms (no Reports as we use BI) with Developement option with no problems.
Made some tests and everything seems to work like a charm.

Then made some memory tuning following peter devaal post on this old thread :

            Thanks again
