I have a Sales Dashboard container with the following Dashboard pages :
Sales Dashboard Page 1 = Number and value
Sales Dashboard Page 2 = Order frequency
Sales Dashboard Page 3 = Current Market position
Sales Dashboard Page 4 = On Time in Full %
On EACH dashboard page I have included a 'Calendar Dashboard Prompt' *(with scope at dashboard level)*, to enable users to prompt the given analysis by year.
But when the user selects year from the prompt in one page, the prompt does not carry over the value when viewing another page within the Sales dashboard.
This seems quite odd as this was working before
Can anyone help or suggest any ideas
check this points..
1)Is Year columns is filtered as "IS prompted" in all reports.
2)If you done any changes in Prompt column formula then Makee the same in Report formula as well and remove the old Filter and keep new year col as "Is prompted"
3)Check the Scope(se as Dashboard) for that Prompt at Edit Dashboard options one more time(hope u done this).
Mark it if helps/correct
Hi there many thanks for your reply
In relation to your points :
1) The year column is prompted in all reports in each page
2) Dont undersatnd what you have said, please clarify
3) Scope is at dashboard level
Please could you elaborate on point two
What version of OBIEE are you working with?
This was a bug in 126.96.36.199.0: Bug 10381088 : DASHBOARD PROMPT VALS NOT PRESERVED WHEN NAVIGATING TO OTHER PAGES IN DASHBOARD
Please assign points if helpful/correct.
While that may be true, does the same apply to version 188.8.131.52.0??
This is because I am working this version ??
Also reply to user : that did not work
Can anyone suggest an ideas?

This problem is still in existance, I have checked all 3 points as mentioned But for some funny reason my dashboard prompts are not working as dashboards should be
Please can some one help or suggest any other ideas, or if someone has come across this problem before
Can you try this by using presentation variables.
Assign the value selected in the prompt to a presentation variable and use the variable in the filter instead of 'IS PROMPTED'.
If required, protect the filter.
Revert if this doesn't resolve the issue.
