we have done an upgrade from 4i to 11G for disco reports. The issue is, all those biz areas which have reference to views (Policy Context) does not return any data when mapped to a workbook.
It happens with the custom reports. We are not using apps.mo_global.set_policy_context anywhere which might be the issue. In toad it returns data once the policies are set. Any clue if there are any set up or patches which does this (policy context setting) @ the OU or environment level.
Pl post details of OS, database and EBS versions.
Setting the security context is a requirement to be able to access secure views.
Oracle Applications Multiple Organizations Access Control for Custom Code [ID 420787.1]
Appl: 12.1.3 and DB is 11G and OS:Linux.
Yes we have to set the policies. But in disco report there are no triggers which can be used to set such things unlike rdf reports. It should pick up from some ENV or standard packages. That is what I think and I want to confirm if it is right?
I tried setting that. But when I tried to login through Disco-Desktop, it returns error like :
Unable to connect to : UN@DB
Database Error - ORA-20001: oracle error -900: ORA-00900:invalid SQL statement has been detected in fnd_global.initialize (fnd_initi_sql)
ORA-06512; at "APPS.APP_EXCEPTION",line 72
I found the soln. and posting it. Step 1 :*
download the bisbisregfuncrfo.eex from $AU_TOP/discover/US Step 2:*
Import the same .eex by Disco Administrator client using Sysadmin application user. Step 3:*
Modify the Package: FND_PRODUCT_INITIALIZATION_PKG.DISCOINIT
function DiscoInit return number is
when others then
Don't forget to take a back up.
