Disk IO performance fine from LiveCD, abysmal after install

      Hi everyone,

I installed Solaris 11.1 from the live CD, and had the zpools mounted while running the live CD. Doing a scrub on both zpools the IO performance was fine, especially on the pool with a single SSD.

But once installed and boot from the hard disks the IO performance was abysmal < 5MB/s.

The system was running on the previous Oracle Solaris version, 11_11.

There are 2x 1000GB (rpool) of the shelf disks in there, and one 256GB SSD (ssdpool hosting Virtualdisk images), and 8GB RAM. The system was running fine before the upgrade.

Any idea where I should be looking for the cause of the performance drop?
