May be you can create another job that runs more frequently looking for the status change. This job can schedule the process flows if a status change was identified.
Not the ideal way; but it's possible to fire a trigger where the status changes occur too to schedule the process flows..

What we did is have scheduke which starts at 8.00 p.m. each night.
It has while loop at start which will loop until condition is true or window expired 6 in morning
This works for us.
Such a file watcher capability is now in the Oracle database;
