Installation issue on Solaris 11 2010.11 Express
Dec 10, 2012 1:28 PM
I've booted off the CD and have run the Oracle Solaris Installer but the install fails saying that there is already an rpool created. This is left over from my previous install that failed.
I read somewhere that there is a bug in that the root password is disabled...
I suspect I need to be logged on a root to install Solaris properly but don't seem to be able to do this,
I have the same question

You should be able to tell the installer to format that partition prior to install. If not then just format it yourself and then do the install.
Any reason you're not using 11.1?
