I did a datapump import on a 2.5 TB database in 6 hours.
I used oltp compression on pre created tables so had to create indexes and triggers separately but ended with only a 1TB database.
If you can, do a dry run.
On Exadata dbm you can create a database using a dbca template (oltp or dwh) the parameters will most of the time be sufficient.
Still balancing these settings with your current 10g parameters using common sense is a reasonable option.
One more doubt i have here. In the source timezone version 4 and target timezone version is 14. any specific action do i need to perform for this or simply datapump export/import will take care of this.
1) soruce DB is 10.2.0.5 on linux 64 bit.
2) target DB is 18.104.22.168 on Linux 64 bit.
Approach is :- datapump.
DB size is 900 GB.
