Connect to Apex from LAN

Hi
Hi,
I'm a beginner to APEX, everything's just new. I've just instaledl APEX on Oracle 11g, with APEX listener 1.1, working fine at localhost. But I can't reach it from others computers on LAN. I searched several threads about this and thought I should run

EXEC DBMS_XDB.SETLISTENERLOCALACCESS(FALSE);

But when I execute that, I got the message 'ORA-30952: illegal configuration of HTTP/HTTPS in xdbconfig.xml'. Any idea?
Many thanks
Nguyen

    Hi,

I'm not sure but, you might get that error when Embed PL/SQL Gateway (EPG) port is not set.

Using that command is valid only if you use EPG.
You say that you use APEX listener, so I propose you check that your server firewall is not blocking connection.

Yes I do use Apex listener 1.1. I turned off the firewall already. From other computers on LAN, I can access Oracle Enterprise Manager site ( port 1158),and Oracle db ( 1521) but not Apex ( 8080).

    Hi,

How you did setup APEX listener?
Do you use standalone or did you deploy to some J2EE server?

I think problem relates more to APEX listener setup than directly APEX.
You could try search if someone had similar problem from APEX listener forum

Is your listener running/configured properly? What about the firewall on your server? Is it turned on and if so, did you open the appropriate port?

When you say it works from local host, I assume you mean:

    http://localhost:8080/apex/

    Correct?
