I am using site studio for creating a website where author can contribute in many languages.
i wanted to know whether WYSIWYG provide any support for multilingual spell check.
if yes how we can enable it.
i want the spell check to happen in WYSIWYG element it self.
I am using site studio WYSIWYG element that has spell check for English, but when i change the broser locale and wirte in spanish i didnt work.
i think its we have to enable some configuration or add some jar to work with multilingual spell check.
but i dont know where and what exaclty i have to do this changes to work with.
but thanks for quick responce,
you are right - it is a feature of the WYSIWYG editor. Site Studio may use two: FCKeditor (default) or Ephox Edit Live - see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10614/e02_considerations.htm#SSMAN259
Either of them has an option for spell checker - see http://docs.cksource.com/FCKeditor_2.x/Developers_Guide/Configuration/Spell_Checker (it has an option to use IE's checker, though) and http://ephox.com/editlive
I could not find information if it is available in other languages. I'd recommend you to contact these companies directly as these are 3rd party products.
This multi-lingual spell check support would be available from the actual editor that is being used rather than SS . SS just uses the FCKEditor / Ephox modules to give the functionality of contributor and further settings would be available from the actual editor .
thanks for the two links Jiri, they were helpful in getting more knowledge about SS and FCKEditor
Sri u metioned that SS uses modules of FCKEditor/Ephox, is that mean oracle have there own spell check engine for this.
i read that FCKEditor supports mulltilingual spell check.
how can we bring this functionality in SS FCKEditor
can u provide any more detail on it.
