I used to configure local storage many time with Sun, IBM, HP and Dell Server with SCSI disk, if you prefer to configure local storage in VM environment, you must separate disks for OS and local storage, it mean you must have at least 2 disks or 2 groups of Array and leave one is blank during installation. Than you have to configure in host file that host name is ping able.
Once more, you can use some command to check as below:
You will see one disk is unformed for dom0

According to HP it should be fully supported.
"HP Tested: Either the OS or hypervisor was successfully installed on the server"
No particular version is specified, however.
With the tension between Oracle and HP lately - it's possible HP drivers were pulled from the latest release - in which case you will have to acquire the correct drivers from HP and install with your host OS installation.
Did some searching on the forums here and turned up nothing specific to your case.
Since I do not have any related hardware in my possession I cannot comment any further.
