In addition, you should check the availabilly states chosen in the 'Availbility' tab.

In the availability we have
Agent Unreachable Resolved
These need to be selected is it ?
The agent on the host is responsible for determining the status of the targets it monitors. So the Host target status is actually linked to the status of the Agent itself.
If the Agent is unreachable, it means that it is down, unresponsive or the host itself is shutdown. The actual message received with the 'Agent unreachable' status will indicate whether the host is up or not.
