I have a problem invoking a webservice in OSM.
I have configured a Automated Task in which I have associated an automation custom plugin that has the code to invoke the webservice. I have an strange behavior when OSM executes that task. Sometimes the task is executed normally when the webservice responds quicly but sometimes the answer is taking longer than normal and I see in my Weblogic log that OSM retries the request. It is generating some problems to continue with the rest of the process.
My question is, why OSM is retrying the request? is there any timeout defined for the automations in OSM?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Are you executing the WS through SOAP/JMS (best practice) or using a Java automator over HTTP(s)?
In general, if an exception happens within an automator and the transaction rolled back, this will cause JMS to redeliver the same internally generated message that initiates the automation plugin so that the transaction can be retried. Could perhaps an exception be happening within your plugin?
