    OSB on Solaris 11.1

    User12687363-Oracle
      Two questions.
      1. Both Oracle Secure Backup and Oracle Secure Backup Express for x86 Solaris download the same file.
Is there no difference on Solaris?

      2. Have installed and configured sgen driver and tapes can be labelled OK and the first backup works
      BUT
appending the next backup to the tape I get the following.
      Space to EOD.
      BSR
      Device says it is offline

As stated in the OSB FAQ, there is no difference technically between OSB and OSB Express...only difference is licensing:

Please describe your hardware setup and provide full lsdev outputs so we can investigate.

            Thanks

Server is X4500 Thumper running Solaris 11.1
              igklein@it:~$ uname -a
              SunOS it 5.11 11.1 i86pc i386 i86pc

Direct SCSI connected to an SL24 Tape Library with a single LTO4 Tape Drive.

Followed install manual to get sgen driver and it created /dev/scsi directories as expected

              igklein@it:/dev/scsi$ ls -lR

Created links in /dev to above called /dev/obl1 and /dev/obt1
