Looks like Solr has APIs that allow you to specify an HTTP URL and get back the results as REST XML or CSV files - so you can use the URL data control in ADF to call out to those interfaces from your application.
Hi Shay ,
Thanks a lot for your response. but how would you send values to the URL directly from the UI page .Can we send values to the URL and execute the in the Solr from the ADF through the way you showed above .Could you please guide me on this.
Looking at http://lucene.apache.org/solr/4_0_0/tutorial.html, it seems you can pass the parameters as query parameters.
There is a place to specify parameters for the data control here:
Also - you can create Java classes that will interact with the Solr interfaces, and then use those Java classes as data controls in your ADF application.
I was not able to create a URL Service data control even the example one that is given .Its thorwing an error saying "See Other" while i am trying to pass the URL in step 3 in URL Creation where we pass the XSD link.
Could you please help me on this . I am working on jdev 220.127.116.11
