    Rman -Tape - Windows accounts relationship

      Dear friends,

      Please share your ideas on how to probably solve the following issue.
      The environment is
      Oracle - running on Windows 2003 64bit.
      For backing up the database tivoli storage is used, tivoli client ( is installed, configured and backup is going fine....but...
      when the oracle database service is running under local system account.
      The requirement is for the database service to run under a domain administrator user account, say dom_user, because
      the database writes to files on a shared network folder which has permissions given to dom_user.
      So, when the service is running under the dom_user backup fails with the error
        RMAN> backup spfile;
      Starting backup at 24-DEC-12
      RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
      RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
      RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
      RMAN-03002: failure of backup command at 12/24/2012 17:06:06
      ORA-19554: error allocating device, device type: SBT_TAPE, device name:
      ORA-27000: skgfqsbi: failed to initialize storage subsystem (SBT) layer
      OSD-02601: Message 2601 not found;  product=RDBMS; facility=SOSD
      when we restart the service under local system account backup is working.

      No additional information in sbtio.log or in trace files to help to drill down the issue.

      Tried to add the dom_user into the group of local administrators....no change.
      Seems dom_user is lacking some permissions. It is given full control at least to ORACLE_HOME and
      to the folder containing the orasbt.dll....allso to the file itself, in case.

      If not enough information is given please let me know.
      Else please share your ideas on the possible reasons of the problem.
