We are using ATG 10 and need to implement Oracle Recommendations.
Do we need to register with Oracle to avail recommendations or we can configure rules for recommendations at oracle using our existing account.
Oracle Recommendations On Demand is a SaaS based offering, you would have to contact Oracle support to get a retailer-id and then upload your catalog XML in the accepted format through SFTP. You would then require to instrument your pages to send data to the recommendation service and also to inject recommendations results back into your pages. And as far as I know, there is an administrative user interface also that's part of the system for reviewing the uploaded catalog data and to control the rules for recommendation.
