is there any feature in Oracle:-
That enable restore of database even if in between sht immediate cmd is fired(while restoration is in progress from RMAN) .
I was doing Restoration from rman and another team guys shut down the database. So any suggestion how to over come this....
I know server process is required for rman to connect to database and make RPC calls to catalog(another datbase) , and minimum condition is to be in mount stage ( These talks apart plzz)..
So any suggestion to overcome this....Yes.
First check if you are still in the restore phase or already in the recovery phase (hope you have a log file)
Proceed with a startup mount of the instance and run your restore and or your recovery command from rman.
A shutdown doesn't harm a restore.
