    Update status

    I tried reinstall the XSecurePro 8.5 but it's shown "XSession Internal Error" :
    The infinite LocalManager loop is occured.
    LoopCnt=811, mkLocalManagerCry-7

    And I tried to use X-Win32 tools, it can view the welcome screen properly. That's my good news.

    Are you following MOS ID 798258.1?
    As per this doc, this patch has to be applied after merging with

    Merge this patch (9179588:R12.AD.B) with 9477107:R12.AD.B and R12.AD.B.1
    (patch 7461070).
    Note: This merge should be a full merge using -admode.
    Do not use -preinstall or - driveronly mode.

    I am confused about the next steps that I should follow the Upgrade Guide(Release 11i to 12.1.1 - Part No. E16342-04) or Release Notes 12.1.1 [ID 798258.1]....

    Refer MOS ID 798258.1,
    When directed to apply the AD 12.1.1 upgrade driver and run the American English upgrade patch driver in Chapter 3 of the Oracle Applications Upgrade Guide: Release 11i to Release 12.1.1, perform the following steps, instead:

    1.Apply Patch 9179588 (9179588:R12.AD.B), following the instructions in the patch readme.
    2.Apply Patch 7303029 (7303029:12.1.0) in preinstall mode. Please review step number 3 to check if you should merge this patch with other Pre-upgrade Patches.
    3.Apply Pre-upgrade Patches released after Consolidated Upgrade Patch 7303029.....
    4.Run the new merged American English upgrade patch driver, following the instructions in the Patch 7303029 readme.

    Refer Oracle Applications Patching Procedures, I did not find how to use -admode option to merge this patch (9179588:R12.AD.B) with 9477107:R12.AD.B and R12.AD.B.1 (patch 7461070), can anybody please instruct how to do it?

    I have searched the OTN that found the following method and I will try it soon, thanks Hussein.

    admrgpch unable to merge patches - 0 unified drivers merged.
    Option 2)

    $ cd /EBS_12i_downloads/patches/AD_12.1.1/mergesource_dba_CPU_91795
    $ ls *.zip > manifest.txt

    I've already read the Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for IBM AIX on Power Systems (64-bit) [ID 761569.1]

    The Required Filesets & The Maintenance Tools are checked ok, and I 've download & installed the IBM XL C/C++ Utilities v11.1 (xlcpp.util.11.1.0.aix.base.tar.Z) only from the following link, but I still not found /usr/vac/bin/xlc file after installed.

    If it is installed, you should be able to issue "which xlc" as applmgr user.

    If it is not installed, please see http://www.ibm.com/Search/?q=Install+xlc&co=us&lo=any&sn=&lang=en&cc=US&en=utf&hpp=

    Thanks for all to reply,

    I found the solution to avoid the xlC problem.
    - to set plsql_code_type = INTERPRETED in init file, and finishes the patch first. anyway , maybe not a good idea to use native plsql in 10g , you can use native sql after you upgrade to 11gR2

    But the next step, when I am applying the Merge patch 7303029 with Patch 6678700. After some time i got error
