If you are looking to pull data directly from a Oracle Database Table you would need to create a SQL Integration Script to pull the data from the database table. There are many examples of this available on the Discussion Forums. Please refer to the FDM Administrator Guide for details on creating an import format with a integration script.
Thanks for replaying.
I create an Integration Import Script for oracle database, when i run it in the workbench,it prompts an error:
Description...................................... ORA-00903: Invalid table name
I searched over the Forums and Administrator Gride for more information, Only found that the script should be used as part of the import process.
can anybody tell me How do i use this script correctly?
Thanks very much in advance！
You cannot run an integration script from the workbench, it can only be ran from the web when assigned to an import format.1 person found this helpful
Hi,thanks for your quick replaying!
I took your advice, and ran the script in an import format,It seems the script has errors.
'Connect to Oracle Server database
cnss.open "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;Data Source=Localhost:1521/orcl;User ID=fdmitf;Password=fdmitf"
'Create query string
strSQL = "Select * FROM fdmitf.ORA_FDM_INTERFACEDATA"
above is the code used to connect the database and get the records from the table.
error code:3265 error description: item not found in this collection
here is the error information.
I tryed a lot, finally changed the connect Strings to "cnss.open "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;data source=orcl;UID=fdmapp;pwd=fdmapp"
but unfortunately, it prompts "invalid user/password"
the user/pwd:fdmapp/fdmapp has the authority to the DB.It has DBA authority.
Is there any possibility that somewhere I didnot config, or the fdm doesn't use the user/pwd specified in the cnnect string?
Looking forward any suggestions...
The problem has been fixed.
If you wanna to load data from Oracle DB,the connect String should be like this:
cnss.open "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;data source=orcl;User Id=fdmitf;Password=fdmitf"
besides, you should assign a value (True/False) to your function, as TonyScalese said in this post:
Import from RDB Fails with "Error:Import failed.Invalid data or Empty..."
Problem solved is always a great joy! Thanks!
