assuming your db is Oralce :)
Make sure your db is up and running.

Thanks for your reply.
I did make sure the database is up and running and followed the steps. The database is running at SQL Server 2008 and port is 1433.
Yet the error persists.

I got this working...
The default odbc driver installed and used by OBIEE seems corrupted. I had to provide a new odbc connection that would access the scheduler database...
OBIEE is 100% up.
