each schema has a table USERS for authenticating users and a table USER_ACCESS to control which user could access which form or report.1 person found this helpful
now my management want to centralize these applications, means a single login screen and centralized access control. a single page for all the applications from
which a user could select a form or a report for example.
what things should i keep in mind before proceeding?
what is the methodology?
SInce the USER_Access have same structure in all the schema, add another column as "Schema_Name" then update this table with all user access with their respective schema.
Now keep this table - where user login first ... then accoriding to their user id-> you can loging internally to their schema
I hope you will get what you need !!
that was what i was thinking about.
how to create the main page?
a hyperlink for each form in all applications using hyperlink java bean?
What about a menu or a tree containing all the accessible forms?1 person found this helpful
yes, i will think about tree items, one tree item for each application e.g one tree item for INVENTORY which include 2 sub tree items FORMS & REPORTS, the same for HRMS and so on.

Create one general schema , and keep this particular table only on this schema, then based on user login validate and internally logon to respective schema
how you read my mind?
i was exactly planing that.
