I can see from the Ensemble sample that we can add up to 8 different color series; however I noticed here http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/javafx/2.2/samples/Ensemble/index.html#SAMPLES/Charts/Bar/Image Bar Chart
We can customize the info using pictures, so why not another color? Also I haven't checked it out, but do we HAVE TO use css for this? I've used it before, just curious if it's REQUIRED or just what the example used...?
Now I believe I saw something somewhere that you can set the style directly in FX? Originally I thought you needed to import a special folder... it's something like .setStyle(styles);? I forgot which class has it though... I'm guessing the NumberLine or one of it's DataAxis classes?
with the style class you define a styleclass in a css sheet like this:
You can apply this style class to your elements via code or scene builder.
So you are able to change the styleclass of an element for your cases.
if you want to apply a style directly to one specific element you have to define its id in the css
in this case only the element with the id myButton will be styled.
You can see that the one solution with the styleclass is more flexibel and the style can be changed
on more elements at the same time and not depending on their different id's.
Nevertheless you are also able to change the styleId in code per myButton.setID("myButton");
