Hello ,

I am using Oracle 11.2.0 on Window 7 and since yesterday I am unable to connect to my database . I am seeing this error on my EM console.

ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin)

I tried to manually shutdown and startup from the console but resulted in the same error.

I was not able to connect from sqlplus as well.

    Describe your environment.

You say you are using 11.2 but both the sqlplus and lsnrctl output show 10.1.0.5.0 version.

Something seems wrong with your environment which is why I was asking for a description.

You say, "The version is 11.2.0.1.0 only ." yet we can see this in the output:

    SQL*Plus: Release 10.1.0.5.0 - Production on Thu Jan 10 11:58:58 2013
    LSNRCTL for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.1.0.5.0 - Production on 10-JAN-2013 11:59:37

That does not make sense if you have 11.2.0.1.0 only. Note also that the lsnrctl is "for 32-bit Windows".

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. From command line , sqlplus is pointing to my old DB (10.1.0.5.0) , hence I was getting that TNS:protocol adapter error

Now I tried to run the sqlplus from actually DB installation folder . Resulted in the following

    C:\POSSuiteApps\OracleDB\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\BIN>sqlplus / as sysdba

ORA-00600/ORA-07445/ORA-03113 = Oracle bug => search on Metalink and/or call Oracle support

additional feedback & clues will exist within alert_orcl.log file

It appears that this DB got corrupted.
