I really want to try this OS, and my computer cant boot from a DVD.
Is there any solution for setting up a bootable usb stick on Windows?
I tried programs that claimed they could open the Solaris .usb files, but they were unsuccessful.
Or maybe a Solaris developer could set up a .iso image thats suited for usbs? that would be the end to all this trouble.
Actually I managed to get it working in Virtual Box, by changing BIOS settings. I'm currently using Solaris to type this reply.
And it has made a good impression on me. Gnome desktop, apache web server included by default, workspaces viewable from desktop.
I would have preferred to boot it through USB, as Virtual Box is only feeding it 900mb of ram. But for now it will do.
