Should i start all the workers again from adctrl ?

I started the patch again with 16 workers in 200 batch size

Let us see how it goes.

In the mean time Hussein I would just like to thank you for your efforts in helping out
    Truly appreciate it.

    Based on note
Oracle E-Business Suite Pre-install Patches Report [Video] [ID 1448102.1]

I have installed the report and downloaded all the patches from the report including the 7303029:12.1.1 CUP1 patch

Then according to the document i merged all the pre-install patches

    admrgpch -d . -preinstall -master u6678700.drv

the new merged driver u_merged.drv is smaller in size compared to u6678700.drv file

I do not get it i thought this admerge would also apply all the pre-install patches before applying the u6678700.drv file

I am still stuck at apilnupg.sql which failed last night due to UNDO and temp
I have 500 GB temp and 100 GB UNDO

I am not sure what i need to do in order to get this English Driver patch u6679700.drv completed

It has been more than one week applying this patch

Correct, and it will only copy the files to the R12 APPL_TOP directory which is used by the upgrade driver patch.

I applied two patches with pre-install=y and kicked off adpatch again

I am still surprised that admrgpch -d . -preinstall -master u6678700.drv should implement all the patches under pre-install directory so that i do not have a issue while running this upgrade driver.
I found out that those performance patches were missing.
    Am i doing something wrong
Below is the procedure i use
    - Downloaded all the patches from report ID 1448102.1
    - Also 7303029 CUP1
    - admrgpch -d . -preinstall -master u6678700.drv
    - adpatch options=nocopyportion,nogenerateportion

i believe the third statement should apply all the patches from pre-install directory but it did not

    A) SO i think what needs to be done is
Apply all the patches using pre-install=y this will create a driver file under pre-install directory
then run admrgpch -d . -preinstall -master u6678700.drv
    then apply adpatch options=nocopyportion,nogenerateportion

Do you think i should do option A

    Thanks

This will not work as the patch driver will not copy the files that need to be installed using preinstall mode. So, you need to apply the merged pre-install patch driver first to copy the files, then apply the upgrade driver.

    Thanks,

So i am applying currently the merged u_merged.drv patch

It has been running for 24 hours and has been failing at apilnupg.sql

    sqlplus -s APPS/***** @/orappl_finapd/fint/apps/apps_st/appl/ap/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/apilnupg.sql &un_ap &batchsize 15 15

    ORA-06512: at "APPS.AP_LINES_UPGRADE_PKG", line 2496
    ORA-06512: at line 94
What do i do with the above issue

As you mentioned after applying this merged patch i have to apply the u6678700.drv driver
I thought that the merged patch included the driver and all the pre-install patches.

    Thanks

Alter the definition of the sequence to increase the maximum value.

The merged patch include all pre-install patches and this has nothing to do with the error you get here.

It has been more than 24 hours and still stuck at apilnupg.sql
The status is running and the TEMP tablespace usage is 650 GB.

Not sure whether it is moving or not

    Thanks

    Hello Hussein

    Happy Holidays.

The patch took a long time to complete with many issues and SR.
The issues was AP_CHRG_ALLOCATIONS_ALL table which has 23 million rows. This had very old data that was basically using lot of temp space
We had to apply Patch.8904721 on 11i instance and not on R12.1.1

After discussion with the function team we figured out we are not using this Charge allocation data and can be deleted.
So i took a backup and truncated the table. Then apilnupg.sql completed.

    According to document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e16342/T527285T527419.htm
I am on step 10 applying the American English upgrade patch driver
I applied it using the below step

    1. Using note Oracle E-Business Suite Pre-install Patches Report [Video] [ID 1448102.1] note and download the report. The patches are for upgrade script failures, Data corruption and Performance issues while running the upgrade driver. Also Download patch 7303029 (R12.1 CUP1) I downloaded all the patches and kept it under pre-install directory
    2. cd $AU_TOP/patch/115/driver
Perform the merge using the following command:
    admrgpch -d . -preinstall -master u6678700.drv
    Then i applied the u_merged.drv

Now on the upgrade document step 12 says

    12. Apply latest product patches (required)
Applies to 11i release level: All
    TUMS step key: N/A
Determine the latest product-specific patches. Then, download the American English patches. Using AD Merge Patch, create a merged patch and apply it to your Release 12.1.1 APPL_TOP.
Note: See Patch Wizard Main Page in Chapter 2 of Oracle E-Business Suite Patching Procedures. See also AD Merge Patch in Oracle E-Business Suite Patching Procedures.

What patches are this ? Oracle is not clear here.

If you are planning to upgrade to 12.1.3, then skip this step now and apply those patches after the upgrade.
