              Are you connecting to a remote host, but specifying a local (relative to the target) file? What does "." mean for the curent position for the remote host?

              Plus, see page 203 of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35209_01/doc.1121/e29397.pdf. Your file naming is off a good bit.

                EB
                trail file has created in dirdat directory that is under gg installation directory.
                Also Document says <path name> is the relative or fully qualified name during the load.
                I am starting initial extract in ggsci start int_ext is that problem ? should I start via os command line ??

                  Where is the rmttrail on the target machine?

                  -- Remote trail on the remote host
                  RMTTRAIL /ggs/dirdat/aa

                    I changed config

                    EXTRACT INT_EXT
                    SOURCEISTABLE
                    USERID ggs_admin@TEST PASSWORD ggsadmin

                    TABLE X.*;
                    but nothing has changed
                    sometimes C:\gg\dirdat\INITLOAD01.DAT file created about 2.1 GB sometimes about 2.4 GB
                    Best Regards

                      Why do you keep naming the file?
                      Enter the parameters listed in Table 26 in the order shown, starting a new line for each
                      parameter statement. The following is a sample initial-load Extract parameter file for
                      loading data from file to Replicat.
                      <your extract name>

                          Where in that note do you see anything remotely close to naming a file with what you are using?
                          rmtfile /gg/dirdat/rf, maxfiles 10, megabytes 2000
                          The remote files created above would be a series of 10 files, in ascending numeric order with a common 2 character prefix. This is the definition of a remote file/trail (rmttrail). This allows the replicat to treat the initial load files as a trail, complete with recovery capabilities.
