Our non technical external users were advised to run Java with "High Security". Part of the instructions were to first click on "Do I have Java" to see if their computer had the correct version.
Now Java Detection does not work due to "High Security" settings and Oracle's irresponsibilty on providing an unsigned Java Detection Application. If Oracle had signed their Java Detection Application, then we would not have to field support calls for yet another Oracle Java issue. Plus, we are now requesting our users to not Allow Unsigned Applications to run.
Thus our users are generating support calls: how can we update Java to update 11 if we should not run an unsigned application ?
You should try opening a support ticket with Oracle or filing a bug report. It's unlikely anybody here can help you, assuming they even care. This forum is about Java programming and I don't see anything like that in your post.
