Any help on this please. !
Is there any way to use Level based hierarchies to get functionality like that of value based .? Reason being these dimensions are created of transaction views so not sure how to handle updates in the tables which are created when setting up parent child hierarchies.
Try out using navigation instead of drilling as in value base.. you might need to create various reports for the same..
Thanks for the reply Srini, the requirement here is to show all open work orders in form of hierarchy. The pivot should display all work order and attributes in levels like I have a work order hierarchy which are broadly categorized into three levels Lvl 1 > Lvl 2 > Lvl 3. I also have other attributes for these work orders like WO Desc, WO Type , WO SupWork Type for each levels i.e Level_1 WO Desc , Level_1 WO Type , Level_1 WO SubWork Type and so on.. ! Now the need is to create a report with this Work Order Hierarchial column and when expending this column levels the all the other attributes like WO Desc , WO Type and WO SubWork Type should be in a single column and expand along with these levels within these columns whenever the user clicks on the plus and minus signs in this hierarchial column.
I have my data for the attributes in in Level 1 WO Desc , Level 2 WO Desc and Level 3 WO Desc etc , how can I show this like we do in hierarchial column to expand along with Work Order Hierarchy.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
