I am new to ODI. I installed WebLogic sever 11g followed by ODI 11g. I have not created the repositories yet, but its not required to start the demo environment. I am just following the instructions to start the demo environment. The instructions are below:
+1. Unzip oracledi-demo.zip in the ODI_HOME folder.+
+2. Verify that the JAVA_HOME environment variable is set and contains the path of a+ JVM suitable for Oracle Data Integrator. If this variable is not set correctly, set it to a valid java machine location. For example: On UNIX operating systems: setenv JAVA_HOME/usr/local/java On Windows operating systems: Set the JAVA_HOME variable graphically
+3. Change directory to the ODI_HOME/oracledi/demo/bin directory.+
+4. Enter the following command: startdemo.bat+
I am having issues starting the demo environment. I get following error: I have set ODI_JAVA_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\jre\bin D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\demo\bin>startdemo.bat The Java Virtual Machine was not found at the following location: D:\Oracle\Midd leware\jdk160_24\jre\bin The ODI_JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly. Please set this variable in odiparams.bat.
I have also tried setting ODI_JAVE_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\demo\bin>startdemo.bat The Java Virtual Machine was not found at the following location: D:\Oracle\Midd leware\jdk160_24\bin The ODI_JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly. Please set this variable in odiparams.bat.
I am not sure how to resolve this. Please help

Please set ODI_JAVA_HOME as below and same provide in odiparams.sh/bat file
set ODI_JAVA_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24 but not ODI_JAVA_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\jre\bin
I had similar issue on Windows..
1) I downloaded jrockit SDK.
2) Pointed JAVA_HOME to this installation
3) Extract the demo folder (i.e. under <ODI_HOME> as odidemo)
Start the agent.
Run ODI enter the details as described in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/integrate.1111/e12641/start_odi.htm.
Specify the Oracle Data Integrator connection details as follows:
Login name: Getting Started - ETL Project
Note that username and password are case sensitive.
Specify the Database Connection (Master Repository) details as follows:
This is the database user ID/login of the schema (database, library) that contains the ODI master repository
Password: Leave this field empty.
Driver List: Select Hypersonic SQL Driver from the list.
This driver is required to connect to the DBMS supporting the master repository.
Driver Name: org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver [This is different when populated by ODI]
jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://<<hostip>>:<port>:<sid> (if you have db installed on different box)
