SO....: Win 7 64bits
DB....: Oracle 18.104.22.168 EE 64 bits
In my notebook, i have 2 instances (orateste and ora11). They are all for testing purpose. I don't know what happened but, a problem in a partition of my SO made the Oracle software unavailable. I cannot start instance orateste. Even the windows service related to the instance have disappeared from services.msc. What i want to do is to restore only one tablespace from instance orateste to ora11. I have a full rman database backup from D-1. What are the possible solutions?
1) Restore the entire database (orateste - 22.214.171.124) to ora11(126.96.36.199)?
2) Is there a way to restore only one tablespace, between instances and versions?
Thanks in advance.
Potentailly you could re-install the Oracle software onto the PC and then as long as the database files are fine just start the database. Once available you would then have several options for migrating the data.
Since you have a backup then you ought to be able to use rman to restore the backup (to a new server) and access the database from there extracting just the tablespace of interest via export, database links, or transportable tablespaces.
Speaking of exports if you made one of your PC database then depending on its age, etc... you might just be able to use it to get the objects and data of interest.
You do not mention the platform the remaining database is on. This can be an important factor for what options are practical.

Reinstall the software
1) How to create a windows service? On caommand prompt
oradim -new -sid <sid name> -intpwd <sys password>
If this helps and you can start your old database than take an export of all the objects in that tablespace and import in another database.
Restore the full database using RMAN somwwhere else and than take export of all the objects in that tablespace and import into another database.
