I currentlly have a single database node running
Also have 2 concurrent manager nodes (PCP)
and 3 Web Nodes (load balancing via F5)
We do not use ASM - everything will be done on NFS (using NetAPp Filer)
We are moving to a High Availibility database server solution (RAC). I therefore need to migrate from stand alone to RAC. Can anyone verifiy the steps below and see if I have missied anything off:
1) Install Oracle GRID (incll Oralce Clusterware) as well as new SCAN DNS entries (3 ip's covering)
2) Install Oracle RDBMS Software (RAC)
3) Clone over the Oracle Database form Standalone - RAC
-- Any specific notes I shuoud follow as am guessing I need to get appsutil etc over
4) Add a second database node to the RAC (so we would now be on 2 nodes)
-- again, any specific nodes I should follow
Using Oracle 11g Release 2 Real Application Clusters with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 823587.1]
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 High Availability Documentation Roadmap [ID 1072636.1]
a) Can the binaries be shared between the two nodes for the Oracle RDBMS?
b) Is there specific docs I need to follow for the CONC / Web Node connectivity as we will be using the SCAN entryPlease see the docs referenced above in this reply.
c) Anything I have missed?Again, please see the docs referenced above in this reply for the complete steps.
