    Hi,

what exactly do you mean? Shrinking tablespaces and datafiles, or using compression (as documented [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28318/schema.htm#CNCPT1132]here)?

    Not exactly...

To make the question more plastic: Do you want to reduce the size (footprint) of your (existing) database files or do you want to store data compressed, so it uses less storage? Of course, you can do both for an existing database, but you haven't told us much about it...

... where compression is one of the more advanced topics... Sorry to say, but reading and understanding the underlying concepts is necessary. Just providing you commands to do this or that might make you do something you may regret afterwards.

Anyway, the [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/toc.htm]11.2 Admin Guide documents:
    - [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/schema003.htm#ADMIN11600]Understanding Reclaimable Unused Space
    - [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/tables002.htm#ADMIN11630]Consider Using Table Compression
    - [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/tspaces007.htm]Altering and Maintaining Tablespaces

I hope this gives you the pointes you need.
