      Hi Gurus,
Please suggest me how to achieve to have a text as "ALL" in a dash board prompt field .so that when the user chooses ALL ,the report should show the result for all the values of the column .

      Thanks-Bhaskar

          Hi,
By default, We have "All Choices" option in prompt which performs selecting all the values by default. If you want to display as "All" and if it is the stand alone table then we can achieve it in db level, but it leads to data redundancy, so it can be used when having minimal number of products.

          For ex) if we have
          product_category, Product.
          A,aa
          A,bb
          B,aaa
          C,cccc
          All,aa
          All,bb
          All,aaa
          All,cccc

Now by default it will display all the products when having product_category as prompt.

          Regards,

            Hi Anitha,
Thanks for your quick response .I am thinking in terms of oracle. Please let me know the if the query can be changed in anyway so that it will display the result along with "ALL"

            SELECT "FACT_GL_BALANCE"."period_name" FROM "GL Balance"

            Thanks-Bhaskar

              SELECT "FACT_GL_BALANCE"."period_name" FROM "GL Balance"
              union
              SELECT "All" FROM "GL Balance"

yes. you can just create a view lk

                create view gl_bal as
                SELECT "FACT_GL_BALANCE"."period_name" FROM "GL Balance"
                union
                SELECT "ALL" FROM "GL Balance"

                period_name
                ------------------
                MTD
                YTD
                ALL

and the filter conditions to be defined in answers when ALL get selected.

                Regards,
