        To resolve the previous error, I copied both files to the same folder and ran the setup.

        Again, I am using Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

          No Oracle version is ever supported on any Windows Home edition.

          Everyone I know who tried to install Oracle V11 on Windows 7 Home failed.

            Pl use a supported OS - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24186/reqs.htm#CHDHGGFE

            One other option you have is to install a Linux VM on your Win 7 Home edition and then install 11gR2 in the Linux VM - pl see my blog (linked in my profile) for detailed steps on how to do so.

              And, again, for the sixth time in this thread, no HOME EDITION of Windows is supported for running Oracle.
