    ZFS relocation

    986485
I have two zfs created as such:
      testpool /users
      testpool /app /app
testpool is 50GB in size. Each zfs will have 25GB usage. set the quota on /app is straight forward, but how to set quota of 25GB on /users zfs?
Any suggestion on how to without any down time or any backup restore?
      Thank you.

I suspect you are trying to set the quota on the mountpoint rather than the file system name.

          1) Use zfs list to identify the zfs file system names:

          e.g.

          zfs list
          testpool /app
          testpool/users /users

          2) Having identified the zfs filesystem name for /users set the quota ( Please note I

          zfs set quota=25G testpool/users

I apologise if I have not understood your question correctly.

It is not my case. But assume you are correct for zfs list
            zfs list
            testpool /app
            testpool/users /users

In this case how to set quota of 25GB on /app?

            Thank you.
