Hello All,

Recently we have implemented a fresh R12.1.3 instance. Some strange issue all the form sessions are getting disconnected that too only between 5pm -5:30pm.

734077.1 followed this note as well but no luck.

Checked all the profiles as well but nothing is setup. There are no scheduled jobs as well during at duration.

We have logged an SR since 1 weak but dint get any solution till now.

This issue is happening only in Production and not in any cloned instances.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards,
MR

What is your OS? DB version?

Your issue sounds like there is another job (OS, Storage, or Network level) running at that time and causing the forms to timeout, so have you verified if any jobs are scheduled to run then?

What do you do to get the connection back? Do you start the application services again? If yes, do you get any errors when bringing the services up at that time?

Can you find any coredump/log files generated at the time when the sessions time out?

Do you have the latest patchset for forms/reports applied? -- Upgrading OracleAS 10g Forms and Reports in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 437878.1]

    Thanks,
    Hussein

    Hi Hussein,

Even we are facing a similar kind of issue. But there is no any time frame though.

The error message pops up while the form is still active, "Your log on session has become invalid. Kindly re-login again...."

The ICX:Session timeout parameter is set to 120 minutes.

There are no error messages for this and when the user relogin again then everything becomes normal.

The forms and report version we have is 10.1.2.3.0

This cannot be a network issue as this does not happen at the same time to all users.

    Thanks,
    KS

Can you find any errors in the database log file and in the application.log?

Do you have the patches in these docs applied?

Connection Leak On Login [ID 1462034.1]
Connection Leak: Find LeakedConnectionException Reported in AOLJ Database Connection Pool Test [ID 1177093.1]
    Connection Leaks From fndgfm (fndgfm.java, fndgfm.jsp, _fndgfm.java) [ID 1231393.1]

    Hello MR,

You might try a continuous 'ping' from some clients to the application server to check for network issues at the time of the forms disconnects.

    Regards, Carlo.

    Hi Hussein,

    Thanks for your reply.

I noticed the following error in application.log but there is no error in database log file.

13/01/16 16:12:48.774 formsweb: Forms session <319> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process.
13/01/16 16:12:48.774 formsweb: Forms session <319> exception stack trace:

But when i checked for FRM-93000 error , the solution was related to windows platform and not for unix.

We followed the note-id (1306678.1) which describes a similar issue. Compiled forms and flexfields as well. But no luck

    What about these docs?

    Hi Hussein,

This issue is not related with any of the two documents. Because there is no any specific navigation to reproduce this error.
The "session log out" message appears at any point of time and also there is no any time interval.

the frm_dmp shows the following message

    [Wed Jan 23 15:27:25 2013 SGT]::Client Status [ConnId=0, PID=6591]
    >> Network connection to client failed: timeout on connection
Possible causes include a network failure or client termination

We also performed the network test and everything seems to be fine.

We are not able to find any information in the form trace.

    Regards,
    Srinath
