    unable to start and create new listener

      hiii everybody,
      I m unable to start listener in win 7 (11g database) using services.msc bcoz it is showing "status as stopped" only and also unable to create a new listener using net configuration assistant which is giving error-"could not create listener".plz, help and ur help apppreciated.thanks.
      os win 7 64 bits

                What is this "orcl" entry for?

                    when i run lsnrctl start it is giving tns protocol adapter error and i m unable to start listener from services.msc and unable to create new listener also using net configuration assistant.where m i wrong?

                      Is Another database installed to dbhome_1?
                      What is "orcl"? looks like saame IP and same Port..

                        no another db not installed in home_1 but developer suite is installed but in different drive and home."orcl" is name of my database and orcl db is running but listener is not running.why unable to start my listener using services.msc in windows and unable to create new listener using net configuration assistant (giving error as "could not create listener")

                              So was that entry in your listner.ora supposed to be part of the SID_LIST section? I'm suggesting that your listener.ora is malformed. If you simply delete it (rename it to listener.save), you should be able to restart your listener with no problems. It will come up with all default values, which should be fine. Within a couple of minutes of coming up, all running databases will have registered with it.
