We use Oracle Forms 11g as our Application Server has java 6 with update 31 where End users machines have updated Java 7 update 9.
When users access the Forms Application there are getting a warning message box saying Application would like to use an old version of Java that is not installed on your system.
Giving options Run With the latest version or Cancel.
When I click the Run with the latest version our application is opened and getting struck. Not allowing to do any operations.
What I have to do to make our application runs as normally????
Please help me.
as currently 11g is not purely supported on Java 7 so better to use only with Java 6 with higher version of it.
to use java 7 you need to upgrade to WLS 10.3.6 or 12c.
Hope this clarify your query.
I am somewhat new to WebLogic and I have a question concerning the Java 7 support. I work for an organization that is currently running WebLogic 11g (10.3.5) with the JDK v6, update 24 for development and test and the JRocki 6, update 24 in production. I understand that to support Java 7, we must upgrade to WebLogic 11g, 10.3.6.
My question is: What version of Java 7 is supported with 10.3.6? Will we experiencing any problems or need to modify applications, if we upgrade to 10.3.6 and Java 7? The release notes state that Java 7 SE is supported. Since this is not Java 7 EE will it create any problems for us?
There are two options to resolve this issue.
Goto control panel in client machine->click on Java->click on java tab->click view ->enable jre 1.6.07..disable rest of the jre.
You need to upgrade oracle apps server java version from 6 to version 7. Please find metalink id for reference.
