I have the EM repository and OMS installed on a remote server. The extensibility development kit (edk) and emcli / emctl are available on my laptop. So I can develop plug-in's on my laptop and then import deploy them to the OMS using emcli on my laptop.
Can I configure the Oracle environment on my laptop such that emctl points to the OMS on the remote server? Or does emctl only work on the local host? I can't find any examples where emctl runs against an OMS on a remote server?
What is actually best practice for setting up a plug-in development environment? Am I trying to row upstream? :)
