create a simple logic group add one logic account, call the item L1100 use IN as the type, set the criteria to 1100 and ensure the exp checkbox is checked (this allows you use the logic account in mappings). then map 1100 to the 1st target and L1100 to the 2nd target
Thanks a Lot !!
I have created a simple logic group with the logic account .As you said i mapped L1100 to the 2nd target .Now again the situation arises where the same source 1100 to be mapped to the 3rd target and 4th target .
Is it something i need to create one more logic account say L1100A and mapped to the 3rd target . Can you please clarify this ?
yes, just create additional logic accounts using the same logic making sure that the Item name is unique
Thanks a lot for your help !!

does this only work is the criteria is a numeric?
No this also works for non-numeric fields.
Just like the mapping with in and like mappings.
I created the logic account called L2M, which has the criteria 2*. The intention is to map every source account that starts with 2 to the destination account M_2* on HFM
I created that logic account but I don't know how to map it into the accounts mapping.
I tried creating a new entry on "Like" for accounts map and in the "Rule Definition" I tried putting the Logic Account name L2M and target as M_2* but it does not allows me prompting with an error message:
Error: invalid like clause: (L2M) for dimension map (account) and rule (BSRule2M)
Would anyone know whats wrong?
By the sound of it you do not need a logic account, just a correctly formed Like mapping. Put 2* as the source ctiteria in your like mapping and M_2* as the target
The problem is that this will go to two different locations in HFM
We already have a Like mapping with source 2* and target 2*, we need another one with source 2* and target M_2*
Ok. Well you do a need a logic account then. However if you want to replicate your first mapping logic you will need a complex logic group so that you can spit out logic account copies of all the non logic accounts starting with 2. You just need the account dimension in your complex logic group
1) Set Like criteria to 2*
2) Set Group By to L-*
This will generate a series of logic acounts that replicate all your non-logic accounts starting in 2 but with the prefix L- e.g. account 20001 would have corresponding logic account L-20001
Then the final step is to create a like mapping with L-2* as the source criteria and M_2* asw the target criteria
