          are you on the same schema? Did your commit your changes?

            You cant use cmd>>sqlplus in sql developer.
            You have to create connections in sql developer
            what are you trying to achieve?

              Did you commit after inserting? SQL*PLus & SQL*Developer sessions are two separate sessions. And session can't see other session uncommitted changes.

                Yes I did, so I was able to pull up the data from the tables however in my cmd>sqlplus my table name is for instance table1, in sql developer to select the data I had to do select * from sys.table1.. I don't understand why

                  Well I am trying to select * from a table on sql developer, but the data was first inserted into cmd>sqlplus

                          on sqlplus

                          insert into E_SERVICE
                          values(1, 'Achat');
                          insert into E_SERVICE
                          values(2, 'Vente');
                          insert into E_SERVICE
                          values(3, 'Comptabilité');
                          insert into E_SERVICE
                          values(4, 'Entretien');

                          so they re inserted and if I wanna see them : select * from E_service;

                          I was able to select them in sql developer but I had to use select * from sys.e_service

                            you should NOT be creating any new objects, like E_SERVICE table, within SYS schema
