we have two operating units in our company. Under each operating unit there are few projects.
We have created two responsibilities to access project related forms - one for each OU and assigned respective operating unit profile to each one.
Now if a user is assigned the profile option - 'PA Cross Project User - Update' = Yes, then he can see all the projects using the above responsibilities.
But we want to restrict him to see any particular project using the above responsibility.
Can anyone let me know which profile option should I use to do so.
When I had assigned one user as a Key Member for a particular project, and had selected a role as 'Project Planner' and tried to save, it gave a message - "+The role assignment cannot complete because the selected person has no job associated with the active human resources assignment for the current period of service"+.
I guess we have to associate the selected person to a Job. Can you please let me know where can we do that.
Here is the description from Oracle Projects Implementation Guide:
Use the Enter Person window to enter information about people. Oracle Projects requires the following information for employees and contingent workers:
• Last name
• First name
• Employee number
• Start date
• Supervisor (for workflow approval processes)
• Billing title
• Expense address flag (home or office) for interfacing expense reports to Oracle Payables
Important: If you have Oracle Human Resources installed, you cannot use Oracle Projects to define people information. Use an Oracle Human Resources responsibility to define your people.
