Is it possible to use variables such as arrays in 'Like' conditional mapping?
MyArray = Array("Acct1","Acct2")
For i = 0 to 1
If VarValues(13) = MyArray(i)
Result = IC_Entity
Result = [ICP None]
Thanks for your help !
Why don't you just use in (allows a none sequential list of accounts) or range mappings (sequential range of accounts) to catch the accounts that need to be mapped to the single ICP and a generic catch all like to map all others to [ICP None]
I have actually just done somtething similar on a client site, however it is best to put it in an import script attached to the import format dimension. ( in your case i think the varvalues(13) is the source account so that value can be extracted from the strRecord.
the difference this makes from using conditional mapping / script was it reduced the mapping of the particular dimension from 12 minutes to 4 seconds, for a file of approx 500,000 records, with only approximately a 20 second hit on the data import step.
I don't disagree with you, but perhaps i read his original requirements differently based on his first post.
when i read his original post, (i didn't follow his thread further), i got the impression he wanted to map a source IC_Entity to itelf where the source account was in his array otherwise he wanted [ICP none] instead of the source IC_Entity (i.e. he wasn't using the source account as the source for the dimension). If IC_entity is in fact a single code (as he states later he has a range of accounts he wishes to post to a single ICP, then i mis-read his original requirement, and agree with you.
