UEK kernel - differences in SIOCGIFCOUNT()

      Hello all,

we see a different behaiviour in SIOCGIFCOUNT() between the UEK (2.6.39-200.29.3.el6uek.x86_6) and the "usual" kernel (2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64).

      In detail:

UEK: ioctl(4, SIOCGIFCOUNT, 0x7f1c2ad0787c) = -1 ENOTTY (Inappropriate ioctl for device)
      el6: ioctl(5, SIOCGIFCOUNT, 0x7fc049732ddc) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)

This difference unfortuanelly prevents our backup agent to start (symantec ralus). It crashes with core dump most likely due to an unhandled exception.

Does anyone have similar problems or an idea what the are the differences between the kernel modules at this point in detail?

      Many thanks,
